During the Old Town celebration, you can visit the Sibelius Museum free of charge all day. We also offer free guided tours of the museum’s anniversary exhibition at the following times:

12:00 in Swedish
13:00 in Finnish
14:00 in English

No advance registration required. The first 25 participants can join. Welcome to explore the traces of music!

The Old Town Celebration takes place annually on the Saturday of the week preceding Midsummer. The celebration programme is the responsibility of the region’s many operators, who organise events and activities for people of all ages during the day. And best of all, most of the events are free!

Interested in art and history? Are you a flea market enthusiast or would you like to embark on a medieval pilgrimage right in the city centre? Or perhaps you’re inspired by time travel? What about music – does it get you moving?
