Fredagar på Sibbe: Ensemble Gamut!
Ensemble Gamut! has created its own unique sound by combining elements of medieval music, Finnish folk songs, improvisation and electronic soundscapes. The ensemble’s name refers to the medieval music theory system “Gamut” (Guido of Arezzo). Gamut is also a set of colour tones and “kamut” refers to Finnish folk music and friends. The band released their debut album “UT” in December 2020. It was selected among YLE’s best art music albums and was awarded the Finnish Early Music Association’s “Early Music Act of the Year” prize. Eclipse Music released their second album “RE” in December 2022.
