Sibbe Live!: Guitar Evening
Heikki Ruokangas (b.1987) is a guitarist and composer from Oulu. Ruokankas has released twelve albums, the first of which was released in 2015 by F-IRE in London. The dialogue between melody and atonality forms Ruokanka’s musical expression, which moves from delicate moods to almost violent avant-garde. The music is influenced and inspired by jazz, folk, avant-garde and contemporary music. His music is strongly influenced by Northern Finland and his own personal experience. Ruokangas has performed in Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, Italy and other countries and his music has been published in the UK, USA, Portugal, Australia and Germany. Ruokangas currently releases music mainly through Rockadillo Records and Ramble Records in Australia. Ruokangas is one of the founding members of the international Habitable Records. Ruokangas’ new all-acoustic solo guitar album will be released in early 2023 by Rockadillo Records.
