3Ilmaa is a Finnish-Polish flute, clarinet and bassoon trio consisting of bassoonist Marcin Wosinski (Tampere Philharmonia), clarinetist Marcin Domagała and flutist Marianne Sihvonen. The concert will consist of Finnish woodwind trios, duets and solo works of new music. The concert ends with a work composed for the trio by Juan Antonio Muro, which had its first public performance in spring 2022.
3Ilmaa Trio aims to present both the best known and lesser known Finnish contemporary music works in Finland and abroad. The members of the trio are specialised in interpreting contemporary music, as they feel at home in the music of living composers. The trio was formed when clarinettist Marcin Domagała and flutist Marianne Sihvonen met at the prestigious Darmstadt International New Music Festival. Clarinettist Marcin Domagała told about his duo with bassoonist Marcin Wosinski. Soon the duo became a trio and all eyes turned towards Finnish new music!
