Hilla Eskelinen, piano

Hilla Eskelinen, pianist originating from Oulu, graduated as professional musician from the Conservatory of Oulu in 2023. She is currently studying music pedagogy in the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences under Eveliina Kytömäki. In her Sommar Sibelius concert Hilla performs a selection of more and less familiar piano miniatyres of Jean Sibelius’ vast piano music oeuvre from different years. These include När rönnen blommar (When the Roan Tree Flowers), Bellis and The Oarsman.

During the 2025 summer our museum comes to life on weekends with live music in the Sibelius Hall. With this, we wish to provide a possibility to experience our exhibitions a bit differently. Naturally, you may also have a seat in the concert hall and just enjoy the music.

Sommar Sibelius is a collaborative project between the Sibelius Museum and the Turku Arts Academy where music students perform music by Jean Sibelius during short pop-up concerts.

The Sommar Sibelius concerts are included in the admission price.
