Kaisu Korhonen is a pianist originating from Nurmes, North Karelia, now living in Turku. She began playing piano at age 7 in Pielinen Karjala Music Institute, taught by Marja Peura. The passion for music was found early, and in 2019 Korhonen continued her music studies in Helsinki Conservatory under Naoko Shibayama-Aarnio. Korhonen graduated in 2021, after which she transferred to studying music pedagogy in the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences under Jukka Juvonen and Eveliina Kytömäki. In addition to this, Korhonen has attended Master Courses, for example, in Nurmes Summer Academy with Antti Hotti, Anna Laakso and Anna Kuvaja. As a musician, Korhonen enjoys moments where she can touch her listeners with her interpretations.

During the 2025 summer our museum comes to life on weekends with live music in the Sibelius Hall. With this, we wish to provide a possibility to experience our exhibitions a bit differently. Naturally, you may also have a seat in the concert hall and just enjoy the music.

Sommar Sibelius is a collaborative project between the Sibelius Museum and the Turku Arts Academy where music students perform music by Jean Sibelius during short pop-up concerts.

The Sommar Sibelius concerts are included in the admission price.
