The chamber music programme takes the listener on a profound journey into the beauty of the moment, the play between light and shadow. All the works in the concert deal with various fleeting and changing moments of light and space. Fagerlund’s composition Transient Light lends its name to the concert. According to the composer, the title refers to an abstract notion of musical material as light, slowly changing and evolving over time. In the end, light triumphs as Debussy’s sonata paints the sounds in light and bright tones.
