Sibbe Live!: Sinfonia Concertante Senza Orchestra
On Wednesday 4.10. 2023 Kari Ikonen & Mikko Innanen will perform the work “Sinfonia Concertante Senza Orchestra” as well as a première of some “brutalist” bagatelles on the theme of concrete brutalism.

Originally composed for the Flame Jazz Club’s 10th Anniversary Concert, the four-movement work by Kari Ikonen and Mikko Innanen returns on stage after a creative break. Due to the improvisational nature of the work, each performance will be unique.

Mikko Innanen has been awarded Flame Jazz Artist of the Year in 2017, and in 2018 the title was awarded to Kari Ikonen. Both artists are also holders of the prestigious Yrjö Award from the Finnish Jazz Union, and are doing well in all other respects. The duo have rarely performed as a duo, but their collaboration in music started with the band Mr. Fonebone back in 1994!
