Satu Jalas, violin, Folke Gräsbeck, piano, Ferruccio Tammaro, speech

For the ‘Sibelius in Italy’ evening, the museum invites very special guests! Professor Ferruccio Tammaro (University of Turin), one of Italy’s leading Sibelius scholars, will talk about his new biography of Sibelius and the composer’s impact in Italy. Violinist Satu Jalas (Sibelius’ granddaughter), a long-time resident of Italy, will present her grandfather’s Stainer violin along with the master’s works for violin and piano. Pianist Folke Gräsbeck accompanies and leads the evening, where he also performs Sibelius’ “Florence Waltz”. Benvenuto!

The event is organised in collaboration with the Dante Society of Turku.
