The Turku Folks! -orchestra evening session
Turku Folks! -orchestra arranges a free evening session / rehearsals on the yard of the Sibelius Museum. In case of rain the event is cancelled.
The Turku Folks! -orchestra is very serious about their music, but in a lighthearted way! Their versatile and refreshingly arranged repertoire consists of Finnish folk dance music from polskas to quadrilles, reigenlieds and tangos. The orchestra is open for all instruments, and everyone can partake as they see fit – as long as the song and music keeps on playing. Formed in 2017, the open community already has 180 registered members from beginners to professional musicians.
